QR (QuickRead) Codes

Quick Response, or QR for short, is a specific type of two dimensional matrix code. QR codes are easily read by standard barcode readers and smart phones. The QR code got its name from its creator, who intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.

The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. This information can contain text, a URL, or any other data.

QR codes are becoming widely used for advertising, airline tickets, and other applications where it may be practical to transfer a small amount of text data in a single image.

You can create your own QR code below. Try and scan it with your mobile phone!
